         Nepali theatre world has swum against mighty currents to reach its present prosperous shore. The wake of the modern theatre has injected the prospect of fresh ideas and fresh styles into the traditional working square to clear way for the revived and revised theatrical notions and patterns. Moreover, the recent endevour from media and public has given theatre a tremendous boost, placing it high on the art echelon and making it a thing to long for. Now there are rising talks about careers, fame and professionalism, which is nothing, short of an achievement for us. For all this, Nepali theatre owes a fair share of the deal to the media - paper or electronic. But the presence of Nepali theatre activities on the Internet still remains low, with hardly any national websites offering updated contents and related news and forthcoming events. To fill that very information gap, www.theatrenepal.com has come to the scene with a promise to offer almost everything on Nepali theatre - news, reviews, articles, events, photos and anything one seeks to find in a theatre website.
           Theatrenepal.com is an initiative of Jyotipunja Sign Theatre. It's the only theatre online theatre magazine published from Nepal since 2006 AD. It has contents ranging from Nepali theatre history, working trends of the senior theatre personalities, picture gallery of events and individual theatre artists. It also has columns dedicated to timely analysis of Nepali theatre and its possible future directions. It also covers news related to Nepali theatre from all around the world - either about artists or dramas. It is committed towards providing improved and enriched information to its readers with the passage of time. Due to overwhelming response by the readers and encouraging feedbacks from the senior theatre personalities, theatrenepal.com is going to be formally launched from April 2007 and will be updated every two months.
           Theatrenepal.com is run by a group of people having similar interest to take Nepali theatre to the international arena. Here is a brief introduction about them:
